Torre Centinela hosts first flag-raising ceremony in Ciudad Juárez

The Chihuahua State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE) held a solemn ceremony for the first raising of the national flag at the newly inaugurated Torre Centinela in Ciudad Juárez. The event included members of the security cabinet, the Secretariat of Defense, state security personnel, and 36 police cadets.

During the ceremony, Secretary Gilberto Loya emphasized that the flag represents sovereignty, honor, and the institutional commitment to protecting society. He noted that the Torre Centinela serves as a new symbol of public security, utilizing technology and tactical operations to strengthen inter-institutional collaboration across three levels of government.

The ceremony also included a ‘touch of silence’ to honor security personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. Secretary Loya announced that, starting Monday, September 7, this moment of silence will be observed daily at 12:00 PM.
