Torrejón de Ardoz allocates aid for Colombia earthquake victims

The City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz has allocated 6,000 euros to assist those affected by the earthquake in Colombia. In addition to this direct funding, the local government is calling for voluntary economic contributions from residents.

A memorial service and fundraising event for the victims is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, at 20:30 in the Plaza de España. The initiative follows a meeting between Mayor Alejandro Navarro Prieto, representatives from the Fundación Madrina, and Colombian residents living in Torrejón.

Fundación Madrina, an NGO focused on supporting vulnerable mothers and children, is coordinating efforts alongside the Red Cross to facilitate donations.
