Torreón completes sanitary drainage works in 11 neighborhoods
The municipal government of Torreón, led by Mayor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, has completed sanitary drainage rehabilitation works in 11 neighborhoods as of July. These projects have covered more than 6,200 square meters of sanitary infrastructure to prevent network collapses and health hazards in areas that have faced long-term issues.
The completed works include the neighborhoods of Lucio Blanco, El Tajito, Carolinas, Zaragoza Sur, Monterreal, Rincón de la Merced, Villas La Merced, Santiago Ramírez, Carmen Romano, Fuentes del Sur, and Villas del Valle.
Additional projects are in their final stages in Lázaro Cárdenas, División del Norte, Luis Echeverría, Elsa Hernández, Tierra y Libertad, and Zaragoza Sur. One of the most significant ongoing projects is the integral rehabilitation of the collector on Avenida Fundadores, between Avenida Universidad and Diagonal de las Fuentes, which has reached 75 percent physical progress.
