Tortona and Trapani launch municipal pest control operations

The municipality of Tortona (Alessandria province) will carry out an adulticide spray on Thursday, 23 July, targeting five public areas – the Castle, Area Silvi, Matteotti Gardens, the senior citizens' residence and the playground on Via Aldo Moro. Notices will be posted in advance, and the treated zones may be re‑entered the following day, with full reopening of fenced parks expected by the afternoon of Friday, 24 July.

In Trapani, the city administration has scheduled disinfestation against cockroaches and a derattisation campaign beginning on Saturday, 21 July. Treatments will be applied along several streets, including Via Pantelleria, Via Marino Torrenei, Via Bileti, and the Piersanti Mattarella corridor, while poison stations for rodent control will be installed at multiple points such as Via De Santis and Via Carolina. Residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed in the early morning, avoid the treated streets, and keep pets away from bait stations for at least two hours after each operation.
