Total War franchise sees new Warhammer 40,000 demo and Warhammer 3 updates

Creative Assembly and Sega are advancing the Total War franchise through new content and gameplay updates. At PAX Aus 2026, a playable demo of Total War: Warhammer 40,000 was available, offering players a hands-on experience with the real-time strategy mechanics, including tutorials for commanding Space Marine legions and engaging in combat against Orc forces.

Simultaneously, a major update (patch 9.0.3) has been released for Total War: Warhammer 3. This patch focuses on balancing the Undead Legions following the Lords of the End Times DLC. Key changes include improvements to the Nagash campaign, such as adjusted economic pressures, enhanced Sigil progression, and more meaningful goals for the Black Pyramid. The update also introduces battle income scaling based on difficulty and buffs to Necropolises to ensure they remain valuable throughout the campaign.
