Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall set to leave as clubs negotiate summer transfer
Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall, 20, has told Tottenham Hotspur he wants regular first‑team football and is unlikely to stay under Roberto De Zerbi. The player, who signed a contract running to 2031, is expected to exit before the club’s pre‑season tour of New Zealand. Tottenham have rejected an opening bid from Nottingham Forest and a £46 million offer from Newcastle United, but both English clubs remain in talks with the North London side. Bergvall, who spent the off‑season with Sweden after the World Cup, has missed the start of Spurs’ pre‑season training and will report back this week as negotiations continue.
