Tour de France 2026 mountain stages 3 and 4 spotlight climbs and broadcast

Stage 3 of the 2026 Tour de France took place on 6 July, running 196 km from Granollers in Spain to Les Angles in the French Pyrenees. The stage featured nearly 4 000 m of climbing, including the first‑category Col de Toses (9.4 km at 6.6 %), followed by the Col du Calvaire and a final ascent to Les Angles. No spectators were allowed at the finish because of nearby wildfire restrictions. The race was shown live on France TV (France 2, France 3) and Eurosport, with free‑to‑air coverage also provided by Italy’s Rai channels.

Stage 4 followed on 7 July, covering 181.9 km from Carcassonne to Foix. Riders tackled a series of climbs – Col de Villerouge, Col de Bedos, Col du Paradis, Col de Coudons and the decisive Col de Montsegur – creating opportunities for breakaways. Favorites such as Jonas Vingegaard, Tadej Pogačar, Remco Evenepoel and other contenders were expected to contest the mountain finishes.

Broadcasters across France, Italy and other European markets carried live commentary, and streaming options included RaiPlay, Discovery +, DAZN and other platforms.
