Tourism and aviation sectors expand presence in Australia and New Zealand
Tourism Ireland is launching its 2026 roadshow across Australia and New Zealand this November. The tour will visit Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, aiming to connect travel advisors with local tourism partners from across the island to promote deeper, more immersive itineraries.
In related regional aviation news, Air New Zealand is increasing capacity on its Hobart–Auckland route by 28 per cent for the upcoming season. Starting 25 October 2026 and running through April 2027, the airline will operate three to four flights per week, providing over 33,000 seats. The expansion, supported by the Tasmanian Government’s Aviation Attraction Fund, responds to strong demand for direct trans-Tasman travel.
