Tourism and nautical development initiatives announced in Portugal
Several initiatives aimed at boosting tourism and regional development have been announced in Portugal. In Montemor-o-Novo, the municipality will host the “Vamos Falar de Turismo” event on November 17, focusing on the theme of “Tourism without Borders – Cooperation, Territory and Development.”
In the Algarve region, the second session of the “Nature & Nautic Sessions” is scheduled for November 10. This online session will address the importance of network cooperation in enhancing the competitiveness of nautical tourism. The event features Gisela Sousa, Coordinator of the Network of Nautical Stations of Portugal, and aims to foster synergies between companies and public entities to create a more integrated tourism offering. This initiative is organized by NERA, the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA), and the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) as part of the Internationalize + Algarve 3.0 project, co-financed by the European Union.
