Tourism Events Boost Winter Travel in Chile's Glaciers Region and Argentina's Chaco Province

Representatives from Cochrane, Tortel and Villa O’Higgins gathered on June 27‑28 for the first Winter Encounter Among Glaciers in southern Chile. Organized by local tourism chambers, municipalities, Balloon Latam and the Fundación Parque La Tapera, the meeting included a public forum, scientific tourism exhibit and participatory workshops aimed at shaping long‑term tourism development in the Province of the Glaciers.

In Resistencia, Argentina, tourism operator José Sena announced a two‑day Tourism Fair at the Museo de Ciencias Naturales Agusto Schulz, supported by the Chaco Tourism Chamber and the provincial tourism institute. The fair showcased local hotels, travel agencies and craft producers, promoted winter destinations across South America and highlighted new attractions such as kayak tours and improved access to Parque Nacional El Impenetrable.
