Tourism Malaysia Highlights Success of Citrawarna 2026 Cultural Festival
Tourism Malaysia praised the public response to Citrawarna 2026, a three‑day cultural festival held at Dataran Merdeka that featured more than 3,500 dancers and artists representing Malaysia’s diverse ethnic groups. The agency thanked the thousands of participants, including performers, production crews, volunteers, security and logistics staff, and said visitor feedback will guide future improvements.
As part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, Tourism Malaysia also hosted a Mega Fam Meet & Greet for 55 media, travel‑agent and marketing delegates from 13 Asia‑Pacific markets. The five‑day program at DSR Taiko Berhad showcased Malaysia’s culinary heritage, including a tour of a Musang King durian orchard and a dinner featuring traditional Malay cuisine. Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director‑General for Promotion II, said the delegation would help generate international media coverage and travel intent for the extended VM2026 initiative.
