Tourism Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie begins tour of Bono and Bono East Regions

Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has commenced a three-day familiarisation tour of the Bono and Bono East Regions in Ghana. The tour aims to engage stakeholders, assess cultural assets, and identify challenges within the sector.

In the Bono Region, Regional Minister Joseph Addae Akwaboa raised concerns regarding the encroachment of Centre for National Culture (CNC) lands by private developments. Discussions also addressed the need to complete an unfinished theatre project and the potential for a new craft village to drive youth employment and entrepreneurship.

In the Bono East Region, the Minister held a courtesy call with Regional Minister Francis Owusu Antwi at the Regional Coordinating Council. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between regional authorities and the Ministry to promote tourism and cultural development.
