Tourism occupancy rises in the Pyrenees and Andorra during August

Tourism sectors in the Pyrenees and Andorra are reporting strong performance for the August holiday period. In the Pyrenees and Lleida regions of Spain, hotel occupancy is reaching between 90% and 100%, with several establishments already fully booked. Camping and rural tourism are also seeing high demand, with rural accommodation forecasts reaching 95%.

In Andorra, the Unió Hotelera (UHA) predicts that August occupancy will reach approximately 87%, matching the figures from the previous year. While the summer season saw a slower start in June and July for tourist apartments, the hotel sector remains positive. Industry leaders expect last-minute bookings to help consolidate the season, maintaining a positive trend despite earlier fluctuations.
