In Ecuador, the province of Pastaza led the nation in hotel occupancy during the October 9 holiday, reaching 68.38%. This follows Azuay at 66.04% and Morona Santiago at 51.06%. The national average occupancy for the holiday period hit 40.65%, the highest recorded in four years. Total tourism trips in the country reached 728,350, generating $48.23 million in revenue. Average daily spending increased by 29.5% compared to 2025, aided by a temporary VAT reduction from 15% to 8% for tourism services.

In Mexico, Chihuahua City reported a tourism economic impact of 496.87 million pesos during September 2026. This figure exceeds the amount recorded in September 2025. The growth was driven by congresses, events, and various activities that led some hotels to report occupancy levels as high as 80%, benefiting the hospitality, gastronomic, and commercial sectors.
