Tournefeuille municipal election annulled by administrative court

The Administrative Tribunal of Toulouse has annulled the 2026 municipal election results in Tournefeuille, including the election of Socialist Party mayor Frédéric Parre and his deputies. The decision follows a highly contested second round where Parre won by a single vote (6,262 to 6,261) against candidate Laurent Soulié.

The annulment stems from several irregularities identified during the voting process. These include a ballot found in a voting booth alongside a voter card that should have been considered void, and a discrepancy in another polling station where 671 ballots were counted despite only 670 signatures on the attendance list. As a result of the ruling, the municipality must hold new elections.
