Toyosu to host new permanent pickleball facilities

New permanent pickleball facilities are set to open in the Toyosu area of Tokyo to support the rapidly growing sport, which has seen its domestic player base surge to approximately 330,000 people.

Japan Pickleball Holdings will launch ‘PICKLR TOKYO TOYOSU’ on September 25, 2026. This all-weather indoor facility features seven hard courts based on official PICKLR and PPA TOUR standards. The club offers various membership tiers, including PRO, UNLIMITED, and PLAY, providing access to lessons, tournaments, and community events. While members gain priority access, the facility will open to general visitors starting October 1, 2026.

In a separate development, TBS Holdings and Mitsui Fudosan are launching ‘PICKLEBALL PARK TOYOSU’ on September 9. This facility includes four outdoor hard courts and will operate from 6:00 to 22:00. To celebrate the opening, the first All Japan Student Pickleball Championship will be held on September 9 and 10. The partners intend to expand permanent courts to other locations, including Shima City in Mie Prefecture, to further promote the sport and community building.
