These developments coincide with a surge in Japan’s domestic player base to approximately 330,000 people.

In the United States, the 2026 Houston Open Pickleball Tournament attracted over 300 participants, utilizing the event to promote physical health and raise funds for senior health services. Similarly, in Hokkaido, Japan, the ‘Rusutsu Pickleball Festival 2026’ is scheduled to host lessons and competitions at the Rusutsu Resort to cater to both beginners and experienced players.
