Toyota adjusts hybrid pricing and maintenance costs in Brazil

Toyota is implementing strategic pricing and maintenance considerations for its hybrid lineup in the Brazilian market. To compete with the advancing presence of Chinese manufacturer BYD, Toyota has applied a R$ 20,000 discount on the Yaris Cross XRX Hybrid, bringing its price to R$ 169,990. This move aligns the vehicle's price with the BYD Atto 2 GS.

Regarding maintenance, the battery replacement for a Toyota Corolla Hybrid is estimated to cost approximately R$ 17,000. However, experts suggest that repairing battery cells may be a more viable financial option, with costs ranging between R$ 8,000 and R$ 10,000 depending on the diagnosis. For the Corolla Cross Hybrid, used battery sets are available between R$ 4,900 and R$ 10,000.
