Toyota and VinFast report strong September 2026 sales growth

Toyota Vietnam reported a significant surge in sales for September 2026, reaching 7,114 total vehicles including Lexus. This represents a 45% increase compared to August 2026. The growth was driven largely by promotional programs for models such as the Corolla Cross, Yaris Cross, and Innova Cross.

The Toyota Yaris Cross was the top seller with 1,799 units, a 95% increase from the previous month, while the hybrid version saw a 130% jump. The Innova Cross also saw strong performance with 1,461 units sold, up 76% from August. Toyota's cumulative sales for 2026 have now exceeded 55,700 vehicles, a 30% increase year-over-year.

In the Indian market, VinFast has demonstrated strong growth, recording 2,961 vehicle registrations in September 2026, a 32% increase from August. This performance places VinFast fourth in the overall Indian market for the month, surpassing competitors such as BYD, Hyundai, and Tesla. VinFast's total registrations in India for the year have reached 12,535 units. The company continues to expand its presence through manufacturing in Tamil Nadu and testing new models like the VF 5 facelift.
