Toyota announces limited GRMN Corolla sports car

Toyota has announced the launch of the GRMN Corolla, a high-performance, two-seater version of the Corolla series. Developed with insights from the Japanese Super Taikyu racing series and testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the vehicle is designed for track performance.

The car features a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 300 HP and 409 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and the GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system. To optimize weight and aerodynamics, the model includes carbon fiber components for the hood, front fenders, front spoiler, and an adjustable rear wing. The removal of the rear seats reduces the curb weight to approximately 1,460 kg.

Production is strictly limited to 730 units worldwide. The GRMN Corolla is primarily intended for markets in North America, Japan, and Australia, with a starting price in the United States of $64,360. The interior features semi-bucket seats and Alcantara-like materials, with each vehicle carrying an individual serial number.
