Toyota Argentina expands renewable energy use via YPF Luz

Toyota Argentina and YPF Luz have signed a five-year agreement to supply renewable energy to six branches across four official dealerships. This expansion builds upon a partnership established in 2018, which currently provides 100% renewable energy to Toyota’s industrial plant in Zárate, Buenos Aires province.

The new contract involves an annual supply of approximately 900 MWh, sourced from YPF Luz’s wind and solar parks, including Los Teros, Manantiales Behr, and Zonda. The energy volume is equivalent to the annual consumption of roughly 250 Argentine households and is expected to prevent the emission of 400 tons of greenhouse gases.

The participating dealerships include Zento (with branches in Lanús, Adrogué, and Canning), BHASSA in La Pampa, Allianz in San Luis, and Jorge Ferro in the City of Buenos Aires. The agreement also allows for the potential inclusion of additional dealerships in the future.
