Toyota Gazoo Racing unveils GRF-70 single-seater and GRMN Corolla

Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced two significant motorsport-oriented developments. First, the company unveiled the GRF-70 single-seater, which will debut in the 2027 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy. Replacing the FT-60, the GRF-70 features a second-generation chassis by Tatuus, updated aerodynamics influenced by Formula One design, and an evolved 212kW turbocharged 2.0-litre engine. The car is designed to increase downforce while creating a cleaner wake to facilitate overtaking.

Additionally, Toyota Gazoo Racing revealed the GRMN Corolla, a high-performance road car developed with input from Akio Toyoda, known as ‘Morizo’. Designed for track use, the vehicle features a 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 305hp and optimized torque. The car incorporates extensive carbon-fibre components, a five-stage adjustable rear wing, and a stripped-out interior to reduce weight. The GRMN Corolla is expected to be available for pre-order in Japan, North America, and Australia in late 2026, with deliveries starting in 2027.
