Toyota GR KART to compete in Gotsu City street race

Twelve Toyota GR KART racing karts are scheduled to compete in the A1 City Grand Prix GOTSU 2026, held in Gotsu City, Shimane Prefecture, on December 13, 2026. The event is a central component of the 52 Future Project 2026.

The GR KART is an entry-level racing kart released by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing on September 10, 2026. Designed to make motorsports more accessible to children and families, the vehicle features a price point of 385,000 yen and adjustable components to accommodate drivers ranging from 135cm to 185cm in height.

The race will take place on a specially prepared street course within the city. The project aims to bridge the gap between motorsports and local communities through the fusion of technology and regional revitalization.
