Toyota issues vehicle recalls in Australia and the UAE
Toyota has issued multiple vehicle recalls across different regions due to various mechanical and software defects.
In Australia, the manufacturer expanded a recall for Kluger models. The expansion covers approximately 15,000 additional vehicles manufactured between November 11, 2023, and June 10, 2025. The issue involves a supplier fault with the second-row seat return springs, which may prevent the seat back from remaining locked, increasing the risk of injury. Toyota dealers will replace the springs free of charge.
In the United Arab Emirates, Al Futtaim Motors launched three recall campaigns affecting nearly 29,800 Land Cruiser 300 vehicles manufactured in Japan between 2021 and 2024. The recalls address three distinct issues:
1. Potential engine damage caused by manufacturing debris that could lead to engine stalls and increased crash risks. 2. Electronic control unit software issues that may cause engine output to deviate from specifications during acceleration. 3. A fault in the 10-speed automatic transmission that could cause excessive rotational speed and potential damage.
