Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid faces high markups in Vietnam

The Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid is expected to arrive in Vietnam by September 2026, with deliveries potentially starting in mid-month. Although Toyota Vietnam has not officially announced the list price, some dealerships have already begun accepting deposits.

Reports indicate a significant price markup for early delivery. In northern Vietnam, customers may be asked to pay approximately 700 million VND above the official list price. In Ho Chi Minh City, some dealerships are reportedly requesting an additional 900 million VND.

If the estimated official price is around 4.6 billion VND, the total cost for early units could reach between 5.3 and 5.5 billion VND, excluding registration fees. This trend of transaction prices exceeding official list prices has been observed previously with the Land Cruiser 300 series in the Vietnamese market.
