Toyota Launches Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid EV at Indonesia Auto Show

PT Toyota‑Astra Motor introduced two new hybrid variants of the Land Cruiser 300 – the VX‑R and GR Sport – at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The models combine a 3.5 L V6 twin‑turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor in a Parallel Hybrid System, delivering a total output of 457 hp and 790 Nm of torque, and are paired with a 10‑speed automatic transmission. The hybrid system offers five operating modes, including full electric driving, and is designed to retain the Land Cruiser’s renowned off‑road durability while improving performance and comfort.

The launch coincides with the 75‑year anniversary of the Land Cruiser lineage, a milestone highlighted by Resha Kusuma Atmaja, General Manager of Marketing Planning at Toyota‑Astra Motor, who said the brand continues to evolve to meet diverse customer needs without losing its core DNA of quality, durability and reliability. The event also featured the unveiling of the new Land Cruiser FJ model, underscoring Toyota’s commitment to expanding its premium SUV portfolio in Indonesia and globally.
