Toyota launches new Land Cruiser FJ compact SUV in Philippines and Vietnam
Toyota Motor Philippines began retail sales of the all‑new Land Cruiser FJ, a compact version of the brand’s iconic off‑road nameplate. The model is offered in two trim levels, VX and TX, and is powered by a 2.7‑liter 2TR‑FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine delivering 166 hp and 245 Nm of torque, paired with a six‑speed automatic transmission and part‑time four‑wheel drive. It measures 4,610 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and sits on a 2,580 mm wheelbase, providing 245 mm of ground clearance.
In Vietnam, the first Land Cruiser FJ units have arrived at a northern Toyota dealer, confirming an imminent market launch. The vehicle is priced at roughly VND 1.198 trillion for the 2.7‑L AT 4×4 version, imported fully built from Thailand. The Vietnamese specification shares the same 5‑seat layout and powertrain, with dimensions of 4,575 mm × 1,855 mm × 1,960 mm and a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. It features a 12.3‑inch infotainment screen, 360‑degree camera, advanced off‑road aids such as rear‑axle differential lock and low‑range gear, and a rugged exterior design reminiscent of the Suzuki Jimny but larger.
