Toyota launches sixth‑generation RAV4 in Argentina
Toyota Argentina introduced the sixth generation of the RAV4 SUV, the model that topped global sales in 2025. The new RAV4 is offered in three powertrains: a conventional hybrid with a 2.5‑litre gasoline engine and dual electric motors delivering 239 hp, and two plug‑in hybrid versions that combine the same engine with an extra rear‑axle electric motor for a total of 329 hp. A 22.7 kWh battery provides up to 142 km of all‑electric driving and a combined range exceeding 1,000 km. All variants feature all‑wheel drive and Toyota Safety Sense technology.
A sport‑focused GR Sport trim, developed by Gazoo Racing, adds upgraded suspension, steering and body rigidity. Exterior styling adopts Toyota’s new “Hammerhead” front grille and slimmer full‑LED headlights, while the cabin receives a digital 12.3‑inch instrument cluster, a 12.9‑inch infotainment screen and JBL audio. The launch coincides with the removal of a luxury‑car tax, improving the RAV4’s price competitiveness. Toyota also debuted the bZ4X, its first global 100 % electric SUV, powered by dual electric motors (343 hp) and a 73.1 kWh battery, achieving 0‑100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
