Toyota develops new GR GT supercar variants

Toyota is reportedly developing additional variants of its GR GT coupe to expand its presence in the supercar market. Spy shots of camouflaged prototypes captured at the Nürburgring suggest the company is working on models that bridge the gap between the standard road-going version and the GR GT3 racing car.

One prototype appears to be a more aggressive street version featuring carbon composite aerodynamic components, such as a rear spoiler and bumper winglets. While the 650-horsepower 4.0L V8 hybrid powertrain may remain unchanged, technical upgrades could include revised transmission tuning, stiffer suspension, and enhanced braking systems.

A second, more extreme prototype, referred to as the GR GT RS Track, features a more pronounced aerodynamic package inspired by GT3 racing, including a large rear wing and a wider track. This model is intended for road use but offers significantly higher performance capabilities.
