Toyota has issued recalls for its Camry sedans in the United States and Australia due to a software error affecting the 7.0-inch digital instrument clusters. The defect can cause the combination meter to fail to display upon vehicle startup, resulting in a blank screen.

In the United States, the recall affects approximately 508,000 2025–2026 Camry models, specifically the LE, SE, and Nightshade trims. Higher trims equipped with the 12.3-inch display are not included. The failure can hide the speedometer, warning lights, and turn signal feedback, and may also deactivate audible warnings such as seat belt reminders.

In Australia, Toyota is recalling 16,238 Camry sedans produced between May 2024 and May 2026. The company noted that the lack of visual and audible information increases the risk of accidents. Toyota will provide a free dealer-installed software update to rectify the issue, which is expected to take approximately 60 minutes.
