Toyota recalls over 500,000 Camry vehicles in US and Canada over digital instrument cluster fault

Toyota Motor Corporation announced a recall of approximately 508,000 Camry sedans from the 2025‑2026 model years in the United States, together with about 11,159 units in Canada. The recall addresses a software defect in the digital instrument cluster that can cause the display to shut off, disabling turn‑signal indicators, warning lights and audible alerts, thereby increasing the risk of accidents. Owners will receive a software update to correct the issue.

The recall follows earlier North‑American actions in May 2026 that affected roughly 90,000 vehicles across several Toyota and Lexus models, and a larger September 2025 recall of more than 660,000 vehicles for similar instrument‑cluster software problems. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is overseeing the recall process.
