TP-Link and Acer launch new Wi-Fi 8 and Wi-Fi 7 networking hardware
New networking hardware is entering the consumer market, featuring advanced Wi-Fi standards. TP-Link has officially launched the Archer 8 Ultra BN19000, one of the first consumer routers designed for the Wi-Fi 8 standard. The device utilizes the 802.11bn standard and offers tri-band transmission with combined speeds up to 19 Gb/s. To manage high device density and interference, it employs the Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine, which includes technologies like UEQM, DSO, and NPCA. The router supports up to 200 devices and features 18 internal antennas, providing coverage up to 280 m² in Europe. Pre-orders have begun in Western Europe, the UK, and Australia with a suggested price of 799 euros.
In the Wi-Fi 7 segment, Acer is introducing the Acer Connect Ovia T360, a dual-band mesh router. The T360 is available individually or in multi-packs to expand wireless coverage through mesh technology, which allows for seamless roaming and optimized latency across different areas of a home. The system is designed for easy setup via the Acer Connect smartphone application.
