TP-Link unveils world's first Wi-Fi 8 hardware lineup at IFA 2026
TP-Link has unveiled its first complete Wi-Fi 8 product lineup at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The new hardware is based on the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, which prioritizes network reliability and stability over raw speed increases.
The lineup features the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. Both devices utilize the proprietary Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine, which incorporates technologies such as Enhanced Long Range (ELR), Distributed Resource Units (DRU), and Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) to combat signal interference, congestion, and weak coverage in large homes.
The Archer 8 Ultra is a tri-band router offering wireless speeds up to 19 Gbps and 10 Gbps wired connectivity, equipped with 18 internal antennas. The Deco 8 Ultra mesh system provides combined wireless speeds of up to 22 Gbps and can cover approximately 910 square meters while supporting over 200 devices.
Regional pre-orders are scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026. While the hardware uses chipsets from Broadcom, Qualcomm, and MediaTek, a full commercial rollout in the United States may face delays due to FCC regulations regarding foreign-made networking equipment.
