TP Posyandu Pusat expands community service roles in Sorong

The Central Posyandu Integrated Service Post Supervisory Team (TP Posyandu Pusat) is expanding the role of Posyandu to support six areas of Minimum Service Standards (SPM). This initiative follows the mandate of Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation Number 13 of 2024.

In a recent visit to Posyandu Harapan in Sorong, Southwest Papua, the team provided assistance to community health workers (kader) and distributed medical equipment and basic necessities. The expanded scope of Posyandu now includes education, health, public works, housing, public order and protection, and social services.

Suci Ardy Daud, Head of Health for TP Posyandu Pusat, stated that Posyandu is no longer limited to maternal and child health. Instead, it serves as a strategic link to help residents identify basic service needs and connect them with the appropriate regional government authorities.
