Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality cleans Kurtdere and Camiboğazı plateaus

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality has conducted a comprehensive environmental cleanup operation in the Kurtdere and Camiboğazı plateaus. Although these plateaus are located within the borders of Gümüşhane, they are frequently used by residents from both Trabzon and Gümüşhane.

Teams from the municipality’s Department of Environmental Protection and Control collected various types of waste left behind by visitors, particularly during the high-traffic summer months. The initiative aims to preserve the natural structure and beauty of these highland areas.

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility. He noted that while the municipality conducts periodic cleaning operations, a clean environment cannot be achieved through municipal efforts alone, calling on citizens to be more environmentally conscious.
