Trabzonspor thanks officials and fans after 59th anniversary and 50th league title celebrations

Trabzonspor marked its 59th founding anniversary and the 50th anniversary of its first Süper Lig title with a series of events in Trabzon. The club’s Divan Presidency Board issued a thank‑you message to protocol members, former ministers, the provincial governor, members of parliament, and local mayors, including former Youth and Sports Minister Faruk Nafiz Özak, former Transport Minister Burhan Cahit Turhan, Governor Tahir Şahin, and Trabzon Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç. Club officials such as President Ertuğrul Doğan, Vice‑President Zeyyat Kafkas, General Secretary Sami Karaman and other board members were also thanked for their support.

The celebrations featured a fan parade – the “Bordo‑Mavi Fener Alayı” – that started at the Ziya Bey facilities, passed through Meydan Park for a wreath‑laying ceremony, and continued to Papara Park, drawing tens of thousands of supporters who marched from the city centre to Ganita. The events were described as an unforgettable festive atmosphere that highlighted the club’s heritage and the unity of its supporters.
