Traditional Turkish Archery Turkey Championship regional qualifiers conclude in Kocaeli, Konya and Bursa
The Traditional Turkish Archery Turkey Championship held its regional qualifying rounds in three Turkish cities. In Kocaeli, the opening ceremony at İzmit Athletics Track was followed by trial and ranking shots for 628 athletes from 30 clubs across eight provinces. Konya’s two‑day competition at Saraçoğlu Sports Facility saw 712 archers from ten provinces compete, with Eda Nur Adıgüzel (Konya Bulcuk SC) winning the senior women's category and Tuğrul Öztekin (Isparta) topping the senior men’s division. Bursa’s qualifiers at the local athletics field featured 803 participants shooting at distances from 25 to 70 metres, and the Turkish Archery Federation noted that a total of 2,820 archers had entered the national championship. Federation board member Naşit Gündoğan praised the high turnout and the cultural significance of the event, adding that the competition coincided with the 700th anniversary of the conquest of Bursa.
