Traffic accidents reported in Pyrgos and Attica

A man was hospitalized in Pyrgos after being struck by a car on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred on the bypass of the Pyrgos-Patras national road near OAED schools. The victim had just disembarked from a bus and was attempting to cross the road to enter the school facilities when he was hit by a private vehicle. Emergency services transported him to the General Hospital of Elis.

In Attica, a severe collision between a truck and a private car occurred on Sunday afternoon near Metamorfosi on the Attica Odos, in the direction of the airport. The impact was significant enough to push the truck driver toward the suburban railway tracks. The driver sustained injuries and was treated by EKAB paramedics. The accident caused partial closures of the Attica Odos and temporary disruptions to suburban rail services, leading to significant traffic congestion in the area.
