Traffic incidents in Greece result in fatality and injuries
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Pangrati on Filolaou Street, where a 35-year-old motorcyclist lost his life following a collision with a private vehicle. The driver of the car, a 52-year-old foreign national, was arrested but subsequently released. The collision caused the car to veer off course and strike four parked vehicles, resulting in extensive property damage.
In a separate incident in Evosmos, Thessaloniki, a driver of Albanian origin crashed his vehicle into a tavern, injuring three patrons. The driver was found to be driving under the influence, with breathalyzer tests showing alcohol levels of 0.77 and 0.74 mg/l. The Thessaloniki Misdemeanor Court has released the driver under the condition that he is prohibited from leaving the country, pending a trial scheduled for next week.
