Traffic safety campaigns launched for students in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
Authorities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have launched educational initiatives to improve road safety for students following the start of the school year.
In Beli Manastir, Croatia, the local police station conducted practical safety training for first-grade students at the ‘Dr. Franjo Tuđman’ Elementary School. As part of the ‘Safety Days – ROADPOL’ project, children learned about using pedestrian crossings, recognizing traffic signs, and the importance of making eye contact with drivers. Participants were provided with reflective collars to increase visibility.
In Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Auto Moto Club Livno and the local police station are conducting a week-long campaign titled ‘The school year has started – let's protect children in traffic’. The program includes lectures for younger students and traffic patrols involving fifth and sixth graders, who will assist officers in distributing educational leaflets to drivers and parents near various local schools.
