Train strikes tractor in Fuenmayor near Cenicero

A passenger train traveling from Barcelona to Bilbao struck a tractor at a level crossing in Fuenmayor, near the Cenicero station. The incident occurred at approximately 13:57 at kilometer point 97.500 of the railway line.

The train was carrying between 155 and 160 passengers. While no physical injuries were reported, two travelers required assistance for anxiety attacks. The collision caused material damage to both the tractor and the train, leaving the convoy immobilized and interrupting rail circulation.

Emergency services, including the Guardia Civil, ADIF, firefighters, and health services from the Riojan Health Service, responded to the scene. Cruz Roja also provided assistance to passengers. To mitigate the service interruption, the railway company organized bus transfers from Cenicero station to Bilbao.
