Trancoso, Portugal hosts Feira de São Bartolomeu festival in August

The municipality of Trancoso in Portugal will hold the Feira de São Bartolomeu from 7 to 16 August. The ten‑day fair features a diverse musical programme, beginning with fado singer Carminho on the opening day and followed by artists such as Bárbara Tinoco, Plutonio, Zé Amaro, the rock band Xutos & Pontapés, Átoa, Raquel Tavares and Bárbara Bandeira. In addition to concerts, the fair includes the XXXVII Festival Folclore ACRT on 9 August, showcasing traditional folk performances. Organisers expect thousands of visitors, with the event promoting local gastronomy, crafts and tourism, and providing a boost to the regional economy.

The fair is regarded as one of the most emblematic cultural gatherings in the Beira region, combining traditional festivities with contemporary music acts to attract audiences of all ages.
