TransJordano launches biomethane Green Corridor in Brazil
TransJordano is launching the ‘Corredor Verde’ (Green Corridor), a biomethane refueling initiative designed to expand the use of sustainable fuel in road freight transport. The project establishes a 450-kilometer axis in São Paulo state, connecting Ribeirão Preto, Sumaré, and Cubatão near the Port of Santos.
Refueling stations will be activated in stages: Sumaré in October, Ribeirão Preto in November, and Cubatão in December. The infrastructure will be operated by GarageLog, a TransJordano Group company, and will be open to other transport companies to help address infrastructure availability gaps.
The project is supported by R$ 140 million in financing from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), including R$ 98 million from the Climate Fund and R$ 42 million from the BNDES Machines and Services program. These funds will facilitate the acquisition of 100 Scania 6x4 biomethane trucks, which are expected to be fully integrated into the fleet by December 2026. The trucks feature an autonomy of up to 700 kilometers, allowing for an operational reach of approximately 1,150 kilometers across the corridor.
