Transnordestina Intermodal Terminal in Piauí expands logistics capacity

The Terminal Intermodal do Piauí (TIPI), located in Bela Vista do Piauí, is advancing its construction to integrate the Transnordestina Railway network. Managed by Transnordestina Logística S.A. (TLSA), a subsidiary of the CSN Group, the terminal is already partially operational, handling the loading and transshipment of corn, sorghum, agricultural gypsum, and limestone.

The project involves an investment of R$ 50 million and includes a warehouse with a static capacity of 2,000 tons and four silos capable of storing 16,000 tons. Full inauguration is expected in the first half of 2027. The infrastructure is designed to connect rail and road transport, facilitating regional logistics and retail.

Future operations are expected to include mineral cargo. Local entrepreneurs anticipate that the terminal will enable the extraction and transport of iron ore, manganese, and copper from the region to the Port of Pecém, potentially serving international markets such as China.
