The Transnordestina Logística S.A. (TLSA) railway project, a subsidiary of the CSN Group, has reached 84% completion in its first phase in Ceará. The project recently added 50 kilometers of tracks between Quixeramobim and Quixadá, bringing the total constructed length to 832 kilometers.

This massive infrastructure undertaking, estimated to cost R$ 15 billion, aims to create a 1,206-kilometer logistics corridor connecting the interior of Piauí to the Port of Pecém on the Ceará coast. As of March 2026, the construction has received R$ 9.8 billion in funding. The concessionaire intends to complete the entire first stage of the corridor by December 2027.
