The Transparency Board has announced new price ceilings for fuel products in Albania, effective October 10, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Under the decision, the retail price for diesel (standard SSH EN 590) is capped at 211 lekë per liter, with a wholesale limit of 199 lekë per liter.

For gasoline (standard SSH EN), the retail price cap is set at 195 lekë per liter, while the wholesale price must not exceed 183 lekë per liter. These regulations are part of measures to manage a special situation in the hydrocarbon market.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy are overseeing the implementation to protect consumer interests and ensure fair market competition. Operators found in violation of these price limits face penalties, including the potential suspension of their business activities.
