Family of Guy Giraudias appeals for closure after Roc d’Azur death

The daughters of Guy Giraudias, 61, have issued a plea for information and closure following his death during the Roc d’Azur mountain biking event in the Var region of France. Giraudias, a long-time participant who was competing in his 27th edition of the event, suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Two weeks after the incident, his daughters, Élise and Clémentine Giraudias, report that they have been unable to say a final goodbye due to delays in the medico-legal procedures required for an autopsy. The family expressed distress and a sense of abandonment regarding the difficulties in obtaining information from the authorities.
