Infrastructure projects expand in Trebinje, Krupa, and Croatia
Major infrastructure and urban development projects are underway in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. In Trebinje, the “Novo Trebinje” megaproject continues with a tender for a new 126-meter bridge over the Trebišnjica river. Issued by Hidroelektrane na Trebišnjici (HET), the project is valued at approximately 5.85 million KM including VAT. This bridge will connect the existing city to a new urban area designed for 25,000 residents. This follows a recent tender for a 309 million KM Congress Center.
In Krupa na Vrbasu, a project funded by the UNDP and the City of Banja Luka aims to renovate the Kameni Most site. The initiative includes upgrading walking paths, installing tourist signage, and improving viewpoints to promote sustainable tourism along the “Via Dinarica” route.
In Croatia, the city of Nin is expanding its cyclotourism infrastructure. A contract has been awarded for the construction of a 706-meter bicycle path on the Ninski Stanovi – Kožino section, part of a long-term strategy to enhance the region as a family destination. Meanwhile, in Zlatar, construction is progressing on a new seven-meter-wide bridge in Vladimir Nazor Street to replace an older, narrower structure.
