Trek launches new Inbound+ urban electric bike series

Trek has unveiled the Inbound+ series, a new range of urban electric bicycles featuring the Bosch Hub Line, which is the company’s first hub motor. The lineup includes three distinct versions: the Inbound+ 2 R10, the Inbound+ 2 B SO, and the entry-level Inbound+ 2 R8.

All models share a common foundation consisting of an aluminum frame with integrated cables, hydraulic Shimano disc brakes, and standard urban equipment such as LED lighting, mudguards, a kickstand, and a MIK HD-compatible luggage rack. The Bosch motor provides a maximum power of 400 watts and a torque of 45 Nm, paired with a Bosch Purion 200 onboard computer.

The models differ primarily in their transmission systems. The Inbound+ 2 R8 utilizes a classic 8-speed Shimano ESSA U2000 chain and derailleur system. The Inbound+ 2 B SO features a single-speed Gates Sidetrack belt drive, making it the lightest model in the range at 18.60 kg without the battery.
