Trenton police seize 73 slot machines and $100K in illegal gambling bust
Harry Almonte, a 33-year-old man from Philadelphia, faces money laundering and gambling-related charges following an investigation into an illegal slot machine operation in Trenton, New Jersey.
Under a coordinated effort known as ‘Operation Jackpot,’ New Jersey State Police, Trenton police, and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office dismantled an operation involving multiple bodegas. Authorities seized 73 slot machines, an ATM, various receipts, and more than $100,000 in cash from local businesses.
The investigation was triggered by a citizen tip in November 2025 and furthered by a dispute between a customer and a clerk over an unredeemed voucher. Almonte is currently being held by the Philadelphia Police Department pending an extradition hearing.
